Job summary

RumbergerKirk is seeking an Associate Attorney in Tampa, FL with 3–5 years of civil litigation experience to join our office and focus on general liability litigation. The role offers hands-on litigation experience, client interaction, and active involvement in case strategy and management.

You'll take on meaningful responsibility, gain courtroom experience, and develop your practice through mentorship and collaboration with seasoned trial attorneys in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of civil litigation experience.
• Experience in general liability, casualty, premises liability, product liability, or complex litigation preferred.
• Ability to manage cases with increasing independence and responsibility.
• Experience handling depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
• Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Florida.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in all phases of civil litigation, from case inception through trial.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, legal memoranda, and other litigation-related documents.
• Take and defend depositions, attend hearings and mediations, and assist with trial preparation.
• Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal issues.
• Work directly with clients, witnesses, experts, and opposing counsel.
• Collaborate with supervising attorneys to develop litigation strategy and achieve successful outcomes.
