RumbergerKirk is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our Tallahassee team, focusing on civil litigation across education law, employment and labor, personal injury, and general tort matters. The role emphasizes hands-on case strategy, client management, and developing as a litigator.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of civil litigation experience, strong academics, excellent research and writing, and a Florida license. Initiative and collaboration with attorneys and clients are valued.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Strong academic credentials and writing/research skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical abilities.
• Ability to manage responsibilities while collaborating with attorneys and clients.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients through all phases of litigation.
• Manage cases from inception through trial with supervising partner.
• Take and defend depositions; participate in hearings and mediations.
• Research and argue motions; draft motions, memoranda, and settlement agreements.
• Interview witnesses and experts; negotiate with opposing counsel.
• Conduct legal research and draft trial-related documents.
• Work on education law, employment and labor, personal injury, and general tort matters, including negligent hiring and retention claims.
