Job summary

Litchfield Cavo LLP in Tampa, FL is seeking an Associate Attorney with a minimum of two years' general liability defense experience to join a team of seasoned trial attorneys.

The ideal candidate will be licensed to practice in Florida, capable of handling a broad range of defense litigation, and comfortable with independent as well as collaborative work, with a focus on client service and professional integrity.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of general liability defense experience.
• Licensed to practice in Florida.
• Additional court admissions would be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Draft, prepare and handle pleadings, motions, orders and legal memoranda.
• Draft and respond to written discovery and dispositive motions.
• Conduct legal research competently and with proficiency.
• Prepare and take depositions of parties, experts and witnesses.
• Review client documents, draft case evaluations and timely status report correspondence.
• Assist with and participate in mediations and court appearances; and,
• Interact directly with clients, claim professionals, opposing counsel, colleagues and staff.
