Job summary
Anderson Legal Group, PC is seeking a Litigation Associate to handle casework across offices in Virginia Beach, Newport News, Williamsburg, and Gloucester. The role focuses on courtroom advocacy, settlements, and comprehensive case analysis while collaborating with senior attorneys to grow litigation expertise.
You will engage in research, drafting, client meetings, and trial preparation, contributing to a diverse caseload and a supportive team environment.
Qualifications
- Virginia State Bar admission required.
- Recent law school graduate or attorney with 1–3 years of experience.
- Demonstrated interest in litigation and desire to develop skills.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with clients and colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Litigate cases in court on behalf of clients.
- Negotiate settlements and agreements with opposing parties.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings and motions.
- Attend client meetings and provide legal guidance.
- Represent clients in mediation and arbitration proceedings.
- Prepare for and participate in trials and hearings.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff on complex cases.
