Permanent Placements LLC represents a leading Am Law firm in Richmond, Virginia, seeking a Litigation Associate with 2-3 years of experience to handle sophisticated complex commercial matters in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

You will work closely with senior litigators on all phases of litigation, including research, motion practice, discovery, and case strategy, with meaningful client exposure and opportunities for professional growth and advancement.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• 2-3 years of litigation experience.
• Experience handling complex commercial litigation matters.
• Excellent legal research, analytical, and writing skills.
• Virginia Bar admission or eligibility to waive into Virginia.
• Federal court experience desirable.
• Federal clerkship experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Handle a broad range of complex commercial litigation matters.
• Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal issues.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation filings.
• Manage and coordinate written discovery, document production, and other discovery-related activities.
• Support all phases of litigation from inception through resolution.
• Assist with case strategy development and trial preparation.
• Collaborate with attorneys and clients to deliver effective legal solutions.
• Manage multiple assignments with strong attention to detail and deadlines.
