Job summary

PRA Group, INC. seeks an experienced attorney to represent the company in litigation on consumer accounts and related matters. The role supports attorneys by preparing and filing documents, guiding strategy, and managing discovery across cases.

The ideal candidate holds a Juris Doctor, is admitted in the relevant state(s), and brings 2+ years of litigation experience, with strong writing, research, and stakeholder communication skills. A background in consumer credit law is a plus.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor Degree required.
• Active bar membership in the state(s) where practicing; 2+ years related experience and/or training or equivalent.
• Prior litigation experience drafting pleadings, participating in all phases of discovery, and handling trials.
• Familiarity with FDCPA, FCRA, TILA, ECOA and related federal/state consumer credit laws.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to engage with stakeholders at multiple levels.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Litigates on behalf of the Company in state courts where licensed to practice using case management software.
• Represents the Company and affiliates in courts of law, collects facts and evidence, tries cases and performs other litigation tasks.
• Prepares legal documents, develops strategies, and presents arguments with defendants, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Represent the Company at scheduling conferences, mediations, and depositions to support litigation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies across areas of responsibility.
