Job summary

PRA Group seeks an experienced attorney to lead litigation efforts in consumer accounts and related matters. The role defends the company in state courts, drafts pleadings, manages discovery, and guides junior attorneys and staff across multiple jurisdictions.

Requirements include a Juris Doctor, active bar status, at least five years of related experience, and proven leadership in managing attorney teams. Knowledge of FDCPA, FCRA, TILA, ECOA, and related laws is essential.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree required.
• Active bar admission in applicable states; multiple state licenses preferred.
• 5+ years in attorney role performing comparable litigation work preferred.
• Experience leading a team of attorneys and workload management.
• Litigation experience in pleadings, discovery, and trials.
• Familiarity with FDCPA, FCRA, TILA, ECOA and related consumer-credit laws.

Responsibilities

• Litigate on behalf of the Company in state courts where licensed.
• Represent PRA Group in court, collect facts, evidence, and manage trials.
• Defend against claims and mitigate risk via strategic defense.
• Train new attorney hires and supervise state-specific workflows.
• Monitor state legislation affecting the Company and notify leadership.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
