Responsibilities

• Manage defense litigation caseloads (commercial, construction, premises, labor law) from inception to resolution, including drafting pleadings, motions, and legal documents.
• Conduct depositions, interrogatories, and discovery proceedings.
• Perform legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on case development and trial preparation.
• Assist with trial exhibits, witness interviews, and trial briefs.
• Maintain organized and accurate case files and evidence.
• Attend court hearings, conferences, and proceedings as needed.

Qualifications

• Admitted to NY State Bar, in good standing.
• 4-7 years of experience in civil defense, plaintiff, or commercial litigation.
• Strong knowledge of civil procedure, legal research, and writing.
• Proven experience conducting depositions and managing discovery.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
