Job summary

Orion Placement in El Dorado Hills, CA is seeking an attorney to manage civil litigation from intake through trial and appeal. You will draft and respond to discovery, take depositions, participate in mediations, and support appellate briefing while supporting a 1,750-hour billable target.

The role offers hybrid collaboration several days per week and requires an active California Bar license with at least 1 year of civil litigation experience, plus strong research, writing, and communication

Qualifications

• Active California State Bar license with no exceptions.
• 1+ year of civil litigation experience.
• Strong legal research and brief-writing skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Experience arguing motions, trial work, or appellate matters is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and assist with all phases of civil litigation from case intake through resolution.
• Draft and respond to written discovery and conduct legal research.
• Take and defend depositions and participate in mediations.
• Draft, argue, and respond to motions, including dispositive motions.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams on case strategy and evaluation.
• Participate in trials and assist with appellate briefing and arguments as needed.
• Meet an annual billable hour expectation of approximately 1750 hours.
