Confidential Employer in San Francisco is seeking an associate attorney to build meaningful litigation experience across employment, real estate, business, and personal injury matters. Take ownership from initial investigation through settlement, mediation, and trial preparation in a collaborative boutique firm.

This hybrid role offers three days per week in the SF office with work-from-home flexibility. Candidates must have a JD, active California Bar, and 1+ year of law firm litigation

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• 1+ years of law firm litigation experience, with 1 to 3 years strongly preferred.
• Experience drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Exposure to depositions and litigation case management.
• Ability and genuine interest in working across employment, real estate, business, and personal injury law.
• Excellent communication, organization, judgment, and client-service skills.
• Ability to manage competing deadlines independently while contributing to a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Manage business, real estate, employment, and personal injury litigation matters with guidance from experienced attorneys.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, legal memoranda, and case strategy documents.
• Conduct legal research involving statutes, regulations, case law, and relevant secondary authorities.
• Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, conferences, arbitrations, mediations, and trial-related proceedings.
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other parties throughout the litigation process.
• Assist with settlement negotiations, mediation strategy, case evaluation, and trial preparation.
• Manage case deadlines, files, discovery, and litigation calendars while handling multiple active matters.
• Collaborate with partners and colleagues to develop practical, results-focused litigation strategies.

We are specifically looking for an attorney motivated to work across employment, real estate, business, and personal injury matters. In-house and solo practice backgrounds are not the preferred fit for this opening.
