Litigation Associate Opportunity with a Real Estate Boutique (Manhattan)

We are working with two of the named partners of a boutique firm in Manhattan. They are looking to add a mid- to senior-level associate with significant litigation experience.

Firm and Practice Details:

• Currently 9 attorneys.
• Partners have varied backgrounds, including stints as associates in multiple AmLaw 100 firms and as state/local prosecutors.
• The work is largely, but not exclusively, real estate related; it’s interesting and high-level. They handle federal and NY state matters, occasionally in other state courts.
• Associates regularly appear in court, write briefs, and communicate directly with clients.
• Work schedule is flexible, with three days/week in the office.
• Billable hours requirement: 1650 hours to maintain good standing.
• Not an up-or-out structure like big law firms.
• Compensation includes a base salary expected between $210k - $250k, depending on seniority and experience, plus a year-end bonus and 15% origination credit on client collections.

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 2+ years of commercial litigation experience.
• Ideally 3-7 years of law firm experience in total.
• Preferably some real estate litigation experience.
• U.S. JD, U.S. work authorization, and NY bar membership.
• Excellent writing skills, capable of drafting top-notch briefs.
• Passionate about trial work, eager to take responsibility, and a team player.
