Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Associate to join its team at its New Jersey headquarters. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of litigation experience and will be responsible for independently handling a full caseload of litigation cases from inception through trial. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex legal matters across New Jersey and New York. The successful candidate must have strong trial experience, excellent legal research and writing skills, and the ability to provide effective legal strategies for clients.

Duties:

• Independently manage and defend a full caseload of litigation matters, from inception to trial.
• Analyze complex legal and factual issues, conducting thorough legal research to develop case strategies.
• Prepare complex legal documents, including pleadings, written discovery, depositions, motions, and briefs.
• Provide legal advice and services to clients, ensuring timely and effective communication on legal and factual issues.
• Communicate with the court, opposing counsel, co-counsel, and witnesses in a professional and strategic manner.
• Ensure prompt, efficient, and effective disposition of assigned cases.
• Independently prepare and present witnesses and evidence at trials, hearings, arbitrations, and mediations.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2+ years of litigation experience with demonstrable verdict experience.
• Extensive trial experience, including handling cases through all phases of litigation.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to represent clients in hearings, meetings, and negotiations.
• Excellent writing, analytical, and legal research skills.
• Ability to develop and execute legal strategies independently.
• Must be admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey (NY/NJ Bar required).

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in New York and New Jersey (NY/NJ Bar required).
