Job summary

Our growing law firm client seeks a Construction Associate to join its Boston office and work with a sophisticated team representing construction industry clients across transactional and litigation matters.

The midlevel attorney will aim to develop a well‑rounded practice including contract drafting and negotiation, claims strategy, depositions, motions, arbitration, mediation, and appeals. The successful candidate will communicate directly with clients and collaborate with a broader team.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and Massachusetts Bar admission.
• 3–5 years of litigation experience, with depositions experience.
• Arbitration, mediation and trial-prep experience preferred.
• Construction litigation experience a plus; contract drafting/negotiation experience is a plus.
• Excellent legal writing and oral advocacy skills; strong academics.

This is an excellent opportunity for a midlevel attorney who wants to build a well-rounded construction practice that includes contract drafting and negotiation, claims strategy, litigation, mediation, arbitration, and appeals.

The role offers significant responsibility, direct client interaction, and hands-on experience managing complex disputes and construction matters.

Role Overview

The associate will advise construction clients across a broad range of matters, including:

• Drafting and negotiating construction contracts
• Preparing and presenting construction claims
• Taking and defending depositions
• Drafting and arguing dispositive motions
• Preparing for arbitration, mediation, and trial
• Advising on risk management and potential claims
• Developing litigation and resolution strategies
• Working with experts and local counsel

Experience involving delay and disruption claims, payment disputes, and breach of contract matters is a plus.

Candidate Profile
