We are seeking a Legal Assistant to join our team in Orlando, FL. The ideal candidate will have prior employment law experience and a strong understanding of legal administrative support in a professional environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys and other legal professionals.
- Prepare, format, proofread, and organize legal correspondence, documents, and filings.
- Maintain and organize case files, calendars, and deadlines.
- Assist with document management, discovery, and other case-related activities.
- Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, courts, and other parties as needed.
- Schedule meetings, depositions, hearings, and other appointments.
- Conduct basic legal research and assist with preparation of materials as directed.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Perform other administrative and legal support duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, or similar legal support role.
- Employment law experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard legal technology.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with attorneys and team members.
