Job summary

Butler Snow LLP in Ridgeland, MS is seeking an experienced Litigation Administrative Paralegal to join our in-office team. You will draft pleadings, schedule case calendars, and research complex issues using Westlaw or Lexis Nexis.

The role requires 3–5 years of paralegal experience, a paralegal certificate or undergraduate degree, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will work both independently and with a team, contributing to a collaborative firm culture.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of paralegal experience
• Experience in Commercial Litigation practice
• Paralegal certificate or undergraduate degree
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Experience capturing and recording billable time
• High degree of detail and client focus
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team
• Drive and personal initiative

Responsibilities

• Draft correspondence including pleadings, discovery, motions, orders, and notices
• Schedule and maintain case calendars
• Research complex issues using Westlaw or Lexis Nexis
• Investigate legal matters including fact check, witness interviews and summarization
• File pleadings, motions, and other documents
• Review and summarize depositions, medical records, and other documents
