Job summary

Adams and Reese in Ridgeland, MS seeks a paralegal to support attorneys in litigation through research, document production and drafting pleadings. The role involves organizing and analyzing documents and coordinating deposition and trial preparation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma completed.
• 3 years of paralegal or legal secretary experience with significant decision making responsibilities.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; strong written and verbal communication.
• Excellent organizational skills and strong people skills.

Responsibilities

• Index, organize and analyze legal documents.
• Under attorney supervision, draft pleadings, discovery responses, and filings; issue subpoenas.
• Coordinate and participate in document production.
• Assist with witness preparation and attend depositions as required.
• Assist with trial preparation and may attend and assist during trial.
• Prepare deposition summaries.
• Obtain information using the Westlaw system.
• Communicate with clients, court personnel, experts, attorneys by phone, in person, and in writing.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
