Job summary

Qnity is seeking a Global Packaging Engineer - Lithography to lead packaging engineering across our global network and serve as the Marlborough site lead. This on-site role in Marlborough, MA focuses on developing, validating, and implementing packaging systems that protect products, ensure regulatory compliance, and optimize cost and performance.

The role requires 5+ years in packaging engineering, strong cross-functional collaboration, and a track record of delivering robust packaging

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of packaging engineering experience in chemical, semiconductor, specialty materials, pharmaceutical, or similar manufacturing environments.
• Experience designing and implementing industrial packaging systems.
• Knowledge of chemical compatibility, hazardous materials packaging, and packaging validation.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects and working directly with suppliers.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Global Packaging Engineering SME supporting Marlborough, Japan, Korea, and future locations.
• Develop and maintain packaging standards, specifications, and best practices across sites.
• Lead design, qualification, implementation, and improvement of industrial packaging systems.
• Support new product introductions, transfers, packaging changes, and capacity expansion.
• Provide packaging engineering support for operations, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure packaging systems meet product protection, safety, and cost objectives.
• Lead transportation packaging compliance including hazardous materials and global regs.
• Partner with Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, Regulatory Affairs, and manufacturing teams.
• Qualify packaging suppliers, support audits, and drive improvements.
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions related to packaging performance.
