Job summary

Qnity in Marlborough, MA, seeks an experienced Global Packaging Engineer – Lithography to lead packaging initiatives across our manufacturing network and serve as the packaging engineering lead for the Marlborough site. This role is 100% onsite at our Marlborough Massachusetts facility, with priority given to candidates within commutable distance.

The role develops, qualifies, implements, and improves packaging systems that support product quality, transportation safety, regulatory compliance,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years packaging engineering experience in chemical, semiconductor or related manufacturing environments.
• Experience designing and implementing industrial packaging systems.
• Knowledge of chemical compatibility, hazardous materials packaging and packaging validation.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects and working with suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Global Packaging SME supporting Marlborough, Japan, Korea, and future locations.
• Develop and maintain packaging standards, specs, and best practices across sites.
• Lead design, qualification, implementation, and improvement of industrial packaging systems (bottles, drums, IBCs, PE bags, corrugated, pallets, bulk).
• Support new product introductions, manufacturing transfers, packaging changes, and capacity expansions.
• Provide packaging support for operations, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure packaging meets product protection, chemical compatibility, transportation performance, safety, and cost objectives.
• Lead regulatory packaging requirements and hazardous materials transportation compliance.
• Collaborate with Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, Regulatory Affairs, and manufacturing teams.
• Qualify packaging suppliers, support audits, and drive improvements.
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions related to packaging performance.
