Job summary

The Nevins Library in Methuen is seeking a Full Time Literacy Program Coordinator to plan and run our English Language Literacy Program. You will train tutor-volunteers, match tutors to students, test progress, facilitate Conversation groups, and coordinate grant writing and reporting.

This role reports to the Assistant Library Director, may supervise staff, and requires a MLS/Masters and a minimum of three years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• MLS/Masters degree (or in field related to literacy work)
• Minimum 3 years of experience serving a diverse community
• Teaching, budgeting, grant writing, and technology experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute English Language Literacy Program
• Train tutor-volunteers and match tutors to students
• Test student progress and facilitate Conversation groups
• Manage grant writing, reporting and program administration
• Possible supervisory responsibilities for staff and facilities
