Job summary

Girls Inc. of Boston and Lynn is seeking a Literacy and Enrichment Coordinator to support SACC programming on-site.

The role leads the literacy curriculum, coordinates the Lynn Center library, and builds partnerships to promote reading for girls across the center. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Education or Library Science, five years in youth education, and a valid MA driver’s license with CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Education, Library Science, or related field; eight years may be substituted.
Five years of experience in education, facilitation, or youth work.
Valid Massachusetts driver’s license and willingness to obtain school pupil transport (7D) license; First Aid/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Lead development of a creative, hands-on literacy curriculum with staff.
Identify girls with low reading scores and provide access to one-on-one tutoring.
Test K-3 students with DIBELS Next at least three times annually.
Arrange diverse book sources and distribute free books.
Oversee Lynn Center library and coordinate volunteers with the Volunteer Coordinator.
Train staff and volunteers; support family literacy events and QRIS activities.
