Job summary
The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas seeks an experienced Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) Manager to lead strategic direction, governance, and operational management of LIS across pathology and related laboratory services. This leader ensures compliant, high-quality patient care through reliable laboratory technology solutions.
The LIS Manager collaborates with Information Resources, laboratory leadership, clinicians, and vendors to plan, implement, and optimize LIS
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree with major coursework in computer science, math, information systems, or related field.
- 8 years progressively responsible IT experience with applicable supervisory/managerial role (with HS diploma) or 6 years with Bachelor's degree and 2 years supervisory/managerial experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and operational oversight for LIS and related applications.
- Lead planning, implementation, optimization, and maintenance of LIS solutions for pathology and related labs.
- Establish governance processes, prioritization, and project portfolios for LIS initiatives.
