Job summary

PathGroup seeks an LIS Implementation Analyst to act as a technical team lead on LIS deployments and upgrades. The role requires expert LIS knowledge, data integrity focus, and strong collaboration with operations and IT management to ensure accurate testing, data integration, and compliant workflows.

The analyst will drive process improvements, support CAP/CLIA compliance, and maintain LIS systems with rigorous attention to data quality and security across patient and client information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Medical Technology, Healthcare Information Management or Information Systems with 2 years' LIS experience OR 6 years' LIS experience.
• SQL experience is required.
• Must possess keen attention to detail and ability to communicate with staff at all levels.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
• Must be able to interpret data from diverse sources to identify software and database solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance on LIS functionality to Operations, IT Management, and MDI team members.
• Lead projects involving new LIS installations and integrations at other locations.
• Collaborate with the Director of Medical Data Integrity LIS on ongoing projects and communications.
• Maintain and maximize LIS functionality through user training on LIS data and files.
• Receive, prioritize, document, troubleshoot and resolve end-user requests related to LIS.
• Analyze and suggest application changes to improve LIS effectiveness and efficiency.
• Manage system downtime and ensure backup procedures are defined and implemented.
• Follow regulatory guidelines to protect PHI and other sensitive data and adhere to PathGroup policies.
