Job summary

ebm-papst, Inc. in Farmington, CT is seeking a Research and Development Active - Regular full-time Product Expert to lead hands-on commissioning, testing, and qualification of liquid cooling pump solutions during our ramp-up.

The role combines customer-facing application support, test bench work, and global training enablement, with responsibilities spanning field service, data handling, and feedback to drive product and process improvements.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in pumps, hydronic systems, or related fields.
• Strong practical problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently at customer sites, in the lab and on the test bench.
• Ability to read technical drawings and use standard measurement equipment with good documentation.

Responsibilities

• Commission pumps at customer sites and document results.
• Capture and evaluate measurement data from commissioning and field service and translate into recommendations.
• Perform test bench measurements and qualification of pumps across hydraulic, electrical, thermal, and endurance aspects.
• Prepare test plans, validation reports, and release recommendations for pump samples and setups.
