Vultr is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to design, administer, and optimize Linux-based infrastructure supporting our global customer base and data center operations. The ideal candidate is technically driven, detail-oriented, and capable of exercising independent judgment when diagnosing complex system issues and implementing scalable solutions.

Qualificações

• Strong Linux system administration experience (CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu).
• Experience with troubleshooting and analysis to resolve non-routine technical issues.
• Scripting in Bash, Python, or similar.
• Experience with virtualization, networking, or software development is a plus.
• Hands-on experience configuring and supporting: Web servers, Databases and caching, Firewalls.
• Understanding of Linux utilities and system tooling, server/app architecture, security hardening, Ceph, virtualization, load balancing, and core networking.
• Strong written and verbal communication across teams.

Responsabilidades

• Design, configure, and implement Linux system upgrades, enhancements, and infrastructure changes to support scalability and reliability.
• Administer and maintain Linux servers and services, applying systems analysis to diagnose and resolve complex performance, stability, or security issues.
• Serve as a technical escalation point for Linux-related issues, analyzing root cause and determining remediation strategies.
• Partner with engineering and operations teams to design and support new data center deployments, including system configuration and application readiness.
• Perform application and system migrations, evaluating dependencies, risks, and execution approaches.
• Monitor system performance and security posture, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions to maintain security standards.
• Develop and maintain automation, scripts, and tooling to improve efficiency.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation and diagrams to support consistent administration and future scaling.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align systems administration with platform reliability and business goals.
