Vultr is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to design, administer, and optimize Linux-based infrastructure supporting our global customer base and data center operations. Qualifications

• Strong Linux systems administration skills across CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu.
• Experience with systems-level troubleshooting and diagnosing non-routine issues.
• Scripting ability in Bash, Python, or similar.
• Familiarity with virtualization, networking, and software development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and implement Linux system upgrades and infrastructure changes.
• Administer and maintain Linux servers and services; diagnose performance or security issues.
• Serve as escalation point for Linux-related problems and determine remediation strategies.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to support data center deployments and readiness.
• Migrate applications and systems, evaluating dependencies and risks.
• Monitor performance and security; ensure alignment with security standards.
• Develop automation, scripts, and tooling to improve efficiency.
• Create and maintain technical docs, diagrams, and standards.
