Job summary

Vultr is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to design, administer, and optimize Linux-based infrastructure supporting our global customer base and data center operations. You will work across systems, applications, and networking layers to maintain secure, reliable environments, contribute to upgrades, and support platform expansion.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency administering Linux systems (CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu).
• Experience with bash, python or similar scripting languages.
• Exposure to virtualization, networking, or software development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and implement Linux system upgrades and infrastructure changes to support scalability and reliability.
• Administer and maintain Linux servers and services, diagnosing performance, stability, or security issues.
• Serve as a technical escalation point for Linux-related issues and remediation strategies.
• Collaborate with engineering/ops to design and support new data center deployments.
