Zone 5 Technologies is seeking a skilled System Administrator in San Luis Obispo, CA. The role focuses on maintaining Linux and Windows servers, onsite IT support, and coordinating with the Information Assurance team to ensure compliance in a growing unmanned aircraft tech environment.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years in system administration, Linux (Ubuntu) experience, and AWS proficiency, with strong communication and vendor-management capabilities.

Experience and Skills:

• Minimum of 2 (Two) years administering Linux operating systems with strong capability in administering Ubuntu servers and workstations.
• Expertiseor Certification in AWScloud environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability tointerface effectively withexternal vendors, customers, and management.
• Manage multiple networks in a dynamic, demanding environment.
• Familiarity with Risk Management Framework requirements for Windows and Linux systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previousexperiencemaintainingnetworks inDOD Contractor environments.
• Experiencesupporting adeveloper opsenvironments.
• Experience with Administrating AWS instances.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).

Pay range for this role

$121,000 - $149,000 USD
