Job summary

Qualifications

• Three years of professional experience provisioning, configuring, operating, and maintaining Linux systems and related infrastructure.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience supporting servers or systems outages and planning resolutions.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, CISCO switches).
• Knowledge of enterprise admin tools (Red Hat Satellite, Active Directory, PDQ).
• DoD/DoN/NAVSEA IT compliance knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage Linux-based applications for engineering and scientific tasks.
• Diagnose and resolve advanced system and networking issues.
• Write and maintain automation scripts.
• Support weapon systems on standalone networks with separate configurations.
• Harden systems and mitigate cyber vulnerabilities using ACAS/Nessus, STIGs, SRGs.
• Coordinate and lead IT compliance initiatives within projects.
• Create detailed technical documentation for systems and processes.
