Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Linux System Administrator to support DISA's GSM-O II contract at Ford Island, Hawaii. You will maintain multi-user Red Hat Linux environments with Windows Server on a global network management system and work with server farms and cloud resources.

Responsibilities include SLA-driven support, on-call and weekend coverage, and documenting metrics. Candidate must have TS clearance, DoD 8750 IAT II, and AWS experience; travel up to 5% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 8+ years of related Unix/Linux experience or equivalent
• Experience with VMware vCenter and related products
• Experience integrating Network Management and Element Management systems with performance, ticketing, and security subsystems
• Experience with SAN/NAS storage and enclave Ethernet switches
• Shell scripting (bash) and Perl
• Apply security settings and best practices (DISA STIGs)
• Active Top Secret security clearance required for this position
• DoD 8750 certification at least IAT level II (e.g., Security+ CE)
• Experience in AWS cloud environment

Responsibilities

• Maintain multi-user Linux systems and coordinate with network administrators
• Set up administrator/service accounts and tune system performance
• Install system-wide software and allocate mass storage space
• Interact with users and evaluate vendor products
• Make recommendations for hardware/software purchases and perform backup/recovery
• Develop and monitor policies for computing resource usage
• Create and maintain detailed documentation and SOPs
• Provide coaching/review of junior staff
• Provide on-call and weekend support as required
