Job summary

OASYS, INC. in Huntsville, AL seeks a Mid-Level Linux System Administrator to support the ARMY on-site at Redstone Arsenal. The role focuses on Linux, networking, and security within a diverse team, with emphasis on DISA STIG compliance and systems support.

Responsibilities include updating lab systems, performing builds, and assisting with cybersecurity scans. Candidates should have Linux admin experience in classified environments and a DoD clearance or eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of sensor or system-level data analysis.
• Linux systems administration experience in a classified lab.
• DoD Secret Clearance eligibility or active clearance desired.
• Linux+ and Security+ certifications.
• Willingness to travel up to 10–20% and provide off-hours support as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, update, and support a digital simulation lab.
• Perform firmware and software updates on Linux platforms (RHEL 7–10).
• Configure and maintain network switches and access controls.
• Conduct cybersecurity scans and provide troubleshooting for lab systems.
• Manage user accounts on classified systems with multi-factor authentication.
• Develop Plans of Action & Mitigation (POA&M) for DISA STIG deviations.
• Automate OS builds (Ansible) as needed.
