Job summary

Fractile is hiring an Infrastructure Engineer (Linux) to build and maintain the compute, storage, and networking foundations for its on-premise workloads. You will work with Rocky/RHEL-family systems, HPC-style cluster management, and automation tools to support silicon development.

This role requires 2-3+ years of Linux experience, strong networking and storage knowledge, and the ability to work independently while expanding expertise in large-scale infrastructure engineering.

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years of hands-on production Linux system administration experience.
• Good working knowledge of monitoring solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix).
• Solid networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, routing.
• Storage concepts: network filesystems, distributed filesystems, volumes.
• Scripting ability to automate tasks (Bash, Python).
• Methodical, curious approach to troubleshooting with ownership mindset.
• Independent work style and ability to take problems through to resolution.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot on-premise Linux (Rocky/RHEL-family) servers.
• Deploy and upkeep on-premise compute infrastructure using IaC tools.
• Monitor and maintain resource usage, service health, and failures.
• Diagnose networking and storage issues; assist with cluster scheduling (e.g., Slurm).
• Onboard users and manage identities; document changes and runbooks.
• Collaborate with engineers across the org to resolve bottlenecks.
