Job summary

Cesna-Recruitment is seeking a SAS Datalake Linux Engineer to lead on-site storage and compute operations in Austin, TX. You will assess capacity, upgrade nodes, and manage Isilon and NetApp environments while minimizing downtime.

The role emphasizes strong Linux administration, scripting, troubleshooting, and collaboration with data teams to ensure performance, reliability, and secure data management.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of hands-on Linux support in enterprise environments.
• Strong Linux admin skills (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu).
• Experience with system monitoring, log analysis, and production support.
• Basic scripting (Bash/Python) and networking fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Assess capacity and plan node replacements/upgrades.
• Manage integration of new Isilon/NetApp nodes with minimal downtime.
• Perform patching, firmware updates, and sandbox testing.
• Monitor with logs, SNMP, and Grafana; troubleshoot issues.
• Provide data center rack and cabling support.
