Job summary

Cesna Recruitment seeks a SAS Datalake Engineer to lead replacements, upgrades, and integration of Isilon, NetApp, HPC, Kubernetes, and GPU servers in a Texas data center environment. You will monitor performance, troubleshoot with Impala Insight IQ, OneFS, and ONTAP, and implement automated maintenance, patches, and disaster recovery planning.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of hands-on Linux support in enterprise environments.
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu).
• Experience with system monitoring, log analysis, and production support.
• Basic scripting knowledge (Bash/Python).
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, SSH).
• Familiarity with ETL/data pipeline support and batch job monitoring.
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus.
• Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess Isilon/NetApp capacity and performance to plan node replacements or upgrades.
• Manage integration of new Isilon/NetApp nodes with minimal downtime.
• Oversee upgrades of HPC, Kubernetes, Greenplum, Impala, and GPU servers.
• Use Impala Insight IQ and NetApp tools for performance analysis.
• Troubleshoot with OneFS and ONTAP logs to fix hardware or system errors.
• Resolve throughput, latency, and capacity bottlenecks across clusters.
• Implement continuous monitoring with Isilon OneFS, NetApp ONTAP, SNMP, Grafana.
• Schedule regular maintenance using storage software suites.
• Apply patches and firmware updates across components; sandbox testing.
• Provide storage optimization consulting and data migration support.
• Plan disaster recovery and backup procedures.
• Develop automation scripts for monitoring and maintenance.
• Document configurations and share knowledge.
