Job summary

KLA in Milpitas, CA seeks a highly skilled engineer to architect, deploy, and support scalable Kubernetes environments on Linux-based HPC platforms, enabling high-performance inspection solutions.

You will work at the intersection of compute, networking, and storage, collaborating with hardware partners and software teams to deliver reliable, scalable infrastructure that improves yield and performance in semiconductor testing.

Qualifications

• Experience administering and troubleshooting enterprise Linux environments (Red Hat, Rocky Linux, Ubuntu, SUSE).
• Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and maintaining Kubernetes clusters in production environments.
• Strong networking knowledge and troubleshooting skills (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP).
• Experience with HPC compute, GPUs, storage, BIOS/BMC technologies, and cluster infrastructure.
• Proficiency in Shell and Python for automation and ops.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Ansible (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and support Kubernetes clusters on enterprise Linux across HPC environments.
• Design and optimize Linux-based compute infrastructure for scalability and reliability.
• Lead networking architecture and troubleshooting to ensure high availability and low latency.
• Support HPC clusters with CPU/GPU technologies and high-bandwidth interconnects.
• Configure Linux OS (Red Hat, Rocky, Ubuntu, SUSE) and automate deployments.
• Develop infrastructure as code and automation scripts.
• Collaborate with hardware vendors to define, validate, and release compute solutions.
• Create and maintain deployment procedures and technical documentation.
