Job summary

NLR’s Computational Science Center seeks a Linux Infrastructure Storage Engineer III to install, configure, and support storage products for data-intensive computing efforts. The role emphasizes scalable, secure infrastructure and collaboration with researchers and operations.

The position is hybrid, requiring at least 3 days onsite in Golden, CO. Candidates should have strong Linux storage expertise, scripting skills, and experience with distributed file systems and HPC environments.

Qualifications

• Relevant Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Master’s Degree with 3+ years of experience or equivalent education/experience.
• PhD or equivalent education/experience.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Solid foundation in Linux systems engineering, storage engineering, and data systems architecture.
• Experience with Network Attached Storage solutions.
• Experience with backup software.
• Scripting languages such as Python, PERL, Bash.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support storage-related products and services for advanced computing efforts.
• Define and implement hardware/software configurations for high-throughput data pipelines.
• Stay current with new storage technologies and techniques.
• Collaborate with researchers and operations to maintain secure, scalable infrastructure.
