Job summary

Shield Consulting Solutions, Inc. is seeking a highly capable System Administrator with active TS/SCI clearance to join our on-site team in Maryland. You will manage IT infrastructure, support cloud and server environments, and implement CI/CD pipelines, ensuring high availability and security.

The role requires a Security+ certification, strong Linux experience, and 10+ years in SysAdmin roles. We offer an excellent benefits package and a competitive salary commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Security+ certified required.
• 10+ years of experience as a System Administrator.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; 5 years of experience may substitute for the degree.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud environments.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes
• Troubleshoot system issues and ensure high availability and performance
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize deployment strategies and resolve environment-related issues
• Automate routine tasks using scripting and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform)
• Ensure system security through firewalls, antivirus tools, and access controls
• Maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures
• Stay current with DevOps trends
