Job summary

Shield Consulting Solutions, Inc. is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support NSA modernization efforts, focused on authoring, dissemination, and related tools.

The role requires TS/SCI with polygraph and offers telework of 1 day per week in the United States, with Maryland location emphasis. Responsibilities include deploying applications, installing and configuring complex software, managing servers and tools, monitoring performance, and troubleshooting outages.

Qualifications

• Linux–fundamental OS for servers and tooling.
• AWS cloud and VM provisioning, basic scripting.
• Docker Swarm orchestration and Compose usage.
• Experience deploying distributed web apps (GitLab CI/CD).
• Terraform scripting and VM provisioning.
• Ansible scripting and development tasks.
• Docker & Docker Compose proficiency.
• Git version control.

Responsibilities

• Deploy applications and install/configure complex software.
• Manage network servers and related tools; monitor and optimize performance.
• Troubleshoot issues and outages; rotate pager for 24/7 coverage.

Job description

Telework: 1 day/wk

Job Description

• Efforts will focus on DevOps engineering of a modernization effort to converge NSA’s authoring, dissemination, and other supporting tools.
• Responsibilities will include: deploying applications; installing and configuring complex software; managing network servers and technology tools; monitoring and maintaining the system for required levels of performance; and troubleshooting issues and outages.
• Candidates will be required to work a rotating pager schedule for emergency 24/7 call-in support as required (roughly one week out of every 4-6 weeks).
