Job summary

Mathys-Potestio, LLC is seeking a hands-on Social Media Specialist to support its organic social media team with a focus on content repurposing, day-to-day execution, and timely/reactive social content. Approximately 70% of the role will be devoted to repurposing existing materials into multiple platform-specific posts, while 30% will be real-time and reactive to news, trends, or live events.

The ideal candidate works independently, is detail-oriented, and moves assets from idea to publication

Qualifications

• Hands‑on experience creating, writing, scheduling, and publishing organic social content.
• Demonstrated experience turning one larger piece of content into multiple social posts or assets.
• Experience producing timely or reactive social content around breaking news, trending topics, events, or industry conversations.
• Strong social copywriting skills with a natural, conversational voice.
• Comfortable working independently and making day-to-day content decisions.
• Experience in fast-moving environments such as an agency, startup, media company, or live-event team.

Responsibilities

• Repurpose webinars, livestreams, videos, articles, and other existing content into multiple social assets.
• Write engaging, platform-specific social copy, with a particular emphasis on LinkedIn and B2B audiences.
• Create, schedule, and publish organic social content.
• Identify relevant breaking news, trends, industry conversations, or live moments that they can participate in socially.
• Quickly develop timely social posts around relevant news or insights.
• Maintain a natural, conversational brand voice that sounds human rather than overly corporate.
• Execute against an established social strategy and content calendar.
• Work independently and move projects from initial asset or idea through publication.
• Collaborate with social, content, brand, and other internal marketing teams.
• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail while working under quick turnaround times.
• Help maximize the value of existing content by finding additional ways to package and distribute it socially.
