Job summary

Leidos’ NISC IV program seeks a Radio Frequency Engineer/Spectrum Engineer to support the FAA Spectrum Engineering Services Group. The role focuses on RF engineering, spectrum coordination, and management for NAS protection.

Requirements include a BS in EE (or equivalent), 2+ years in RF/spectrum, EMI/EMC analysis, and DoD/FAA coordination experience, with U.S. citizenship and DoD Secret clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Formal spectrum management course or relevant military experience.
  • 2+ years in RF/spectrum engineering, EMI/EMC and interference analysis.
  • Experience with propagation modeling, link-budget analysis, EMC analyses.

Responsibilities

  • Link-16 Spectrum Engineering Analysis and interagency frequency coordination.
  • DoD/FAA Spectrum Coordination between DoD and FAA stakeholders.
  • Review TFA, QTTR, and Link-16 usage notifications for impacts to FAA systems.
  • Prepare engineering recommendations and concurrence packages to protect NAS.
