Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Radio Frequency/ Spectrum Engineer to support the FAA Spectrum Engineering Services Group. The role focuses on RF engineering, spectrum coordination, and ecosystem analysis to protect FAA systems and NAS.

The position requires DoD Secret clearance or the ability to obtain it, U.S. citizenship, and proficiency with RF propagation modeling and compatibility analyses. Experience with JTIDS/MIDS/Link-16 is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field.
  • 2+ years of RF/spectrum engineering experience.
  • Experience with propagation modeling and electromagnetic compatibility analyses.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • U.S. citizenship and DoD Secret clearance (or ability to obtain).
  • Ability to learn FAA-specific software and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Link-16 Spectrum Engineering Analysis and interagency coordination for JTIDS/MIDS/Link-16.
  • DoD/FAA spectrum coordination for military Link-16 testing and operations.
  • Review TFA, QTTR, and usage notices for potential FAA impacts.
  • Prepare engineering recommendations and FAA concurrence packages.
