Job summary

Leidos' NISC IV program seeks an Electrical Engineer to support the FAA Spectrum Engineering Services Group. The role involves coordinating frequency assignments for radar, air-to-ground voice, and other RF systems, ensuring compliance with FAA Orders and NTIA Redbook.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent spectrum management training and has 2+ years of RF engineering experience, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and FAA software. U.S.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or completion of a formal spectrum management course or equivalent military experience in spectrum management.
  • 2+ years of radio frequency engineering experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to learn FAA-specific software and systems.
  • Must be a US citizen and able to obtain a Secret or higher security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to planning, coordination, and execution of FAA and non-FAA frequency assignment actions.
  • Performs RF compatibility analyses using spectrum tools to identify and mitigate interference.
  • Conduct RF propagation, link-budget, EMC, and interference analyses.
  • Validate technical data for completeness and accuracy.
  • Collaborates with engineers and FAA offices to advance records through the process.
