Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a recognized Journey Lineman apprenticeship or groundman training required.
• Colorado Class A CDL license required.
• General knowledge of the electric utility industry and cooperative principles.
• Proficiency with computer use including MS Office and Outlook.
• Ability to read safety rules, staking sheets, and operating manuals.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic math and analytical problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Constructs underground and overhead electrical lines, setting poles and connections.
• Maintains substations and distribution/ transmission lines, replacing components as needed.
• Completes required forms and reports in a timely, accurate manner.
• Manages assigned materials, tools, and vehicles and ensures proper maintenance.
• Follows safety procedures and policies; adheres to DOT requirements and trainings.
• Responds to on-call and emergency situations per duty rosters.
• Keeps up-to-date on First Aid, safety rules, and CPR certifications.
