Job summary

United Power in Brighton, CO, seeks an Apprentice Lineworker to join a four-year training program, beginning at Step 2. You will learn to read staking sheets, climb poles, and operate power tools under supervision, supporting line construction and maintenance. Applicants should have a high school diploma, be 18+, and meet OSHA safety standards.

Ground Person experience is desirable. The program offers staged wage increases, full-time training, and long-term career development within the company.

Qualifications

• Must have highschool diploma, or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Completion of one year's work as a Ground Person is desirable.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety rules is required.
• Must have valid Colorado Driver's License before employment and a CDL within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Read staking sheets daily and use hand/power tools.
• Climb poles and operate equipment safely.
• Prepare and interpret staking sheets and service orders.
• Transport supplies and materials to job sites.
• Assist in maintenance and construction of distribution/transmission lines.
