Job summary

Denmark Technical College seeks an experienced instructor to teach lineworker theory and laboratory courses, while training students in field operations and climbing skills. You will lead in advising, enrollment, and retention activities, and collaborate on curriculum development and ABET reporting.

Qualifications include an associate degree in electrical engineering or related field with five years of lineworker experience; OSHA, aerial lift, CPR, and first aid certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electrical engineering or related to electrical lineworker; five years of lineworker field experience.
• Formal lineworker training and certification in OSHA, aerial lift operation, CPR, and first aid are preferred.
• Two years of college level teaching experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teaching Performance: provide syllabus, follow grading/attendancePolicies and timely feedback; align tests with objectives; ABET reporting.
• Instructional Development: develop and maintain course documentation; select textbooks; manage audiovisual materials; stay prepared for classes.
• Student Advisement: publicize office hours; refer students for help; maintain advising records.
• College and/or Community Service: assist with recruitment; help with job/transfer placement; participate in college/community committees.
• Instructional Management: submit reports timely; arrange learning environment; supervise classroom/lab; maintain records; enforce policies.
• Professional Development: develop annual plan; attend courses/workshops; conduct research in subject area.
