Job summary

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 18 months of overhead electric line experience, plus the ability to obtain a Class A CDL and a rubber glove certification.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED and at least 18 months of overhead electric line experience.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical theory and company line work practices.
  • Ability to become a certified rubber glover for 34.5 kV.
  • Willingness to respond to outages and emergencies, reside within 30 minutes of the Area Work Center.
  • Ability to obtain a valid Class A CDL with appropriate endorsements and a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Construct, install, repair, maintain and remove distribution/transmission circuits and related facilities.
  • Rig poles on energized and de-energized lines and install transformers, regulators, capacitors, and reclosers.
  • Perform tasks to support other line classifications as needed.
  • Respond to emergencies and outages as required, including overtime and shift rotations.
