Job summary

CHR Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Laundry Aide to efficiently manage laundering of linens, uniforms, and textiles within the facility.

You will sort, wash, dry, fold, and deliver items, ensuring safety and hygiene standards are met while supporting smooth operations for staff and clients. Responsibilities include operating commercial laundry equipment, inspecting items for stains or wear, maintaining a clean work area, and documenting loads processed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Basic understanding of laundry processes and ability to follow instructions.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays if needed.
• Demonstrated reliability and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Sort laundry items according to color, fabric type, and cleaning requirements to prevent damage and ensure optimal cleaning results.
• Operate commercial washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently following manufacturer guidelines.
• Inspect laundered items for stains, damage, or wear and report any issues to the supervisor for appropriate action.
• Fold, organize, and distribute clean laundry to designated departments or storage areas promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the laundry area, including routine cleaning of machines and workspaces.
• Follow all safety and infection control procedures to handle soiled linens and chemicals responsibly.
• Keep accurate records of laundry loads processed and report any equipment malfunctions or supply shortages.
