Job summary

Bedford Wellness and Rehabilitation Center seeks a dedicated Laundry/Housekeeping Aide to ensure clean linens and resident comfort. You will manage washing, drying, folding, and distribution of laundry while maintaining sanitary conditions and proper identification of items.

Role requires attention to sanitation standards and collaboration with nurses and staff to fulfill laundry requests and infection prevention efforts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Minimum one year of experience in a commercial laundry/housekeeping setting.
• Understanding of sanitation regulations and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform general housekeeping/cleaning to keep the center sanitary, safe, and orderly.
• Coordinate inventories of clothing and personal items for new residents.
• Sort, wash, dry, and press linens and garments; ensure proper identification and delivery.
• Maintain and clean laundry equipment; monitor supplies and replenish products as needed.
• Collaborate with residents, nurses and staff to address laundry service requests and infection prevention.
• Follow supervisor schedules and perform emergency housekeeping as required.
