Job summary

Dickson Electric seeks a skilled Lineman to construct and maintain electric distribution, following all safety guidelines and procedures. The role involves climbing poles, working from bucket trucks, installing transformers and underground systems, and repairing substations to ensure reliable service for DES customers.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and a Journeyman Lineman Certification, with strong emphasis on safety, teamwork, and customer service.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of methods, materials and tools used in line construction and maintenance.
• Able to follow OSHA/TOSHA safety regulations and company policies.
• Ability to communicate with customers and co-workers effectively.

Responsibilities

• Construct, maintain, operate and repair electrical distribution systems and substations.
• Follow safety guidelines, wear PPE and participate in briefings.
• String wires, climb poles, work from bucket, install transformers and related components.
• Locate faults, replace fuses, and work with energized high voltage systems.
• Maintain vehicles, inventory, and tools; assist and supervise junior staff when needed.
• Talk with customers about service problems and coordinate with city and DES operations.
