Job summary

Southeastern Freight Lines is seeking a Linehaul Driver responsible for transporting freight between Service Centers and designated points. You will operate tractor-trailer rigs, verify loads, and ensure compliance with hazmat and DOT requirements.

The role requires 21+ years old, 6 months driving experience, a CDL-A with Hazmat, Tanker, and Doubles/Triples endorsements, and proficiency in reading/writing English and basic math. Emphasis on safety and customer service across varied routes.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years old.
• 6 months driving experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass background check and alcohol/drug test.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Valid CDL A with Hazmat, Tanker, and Doubles/Triples endorsements.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and write in English and perform simple math.
• Ability to read maps and maintenance logs.
• Ability to meet DOT physical qualification standards for commercial drivers.
• Ability to satisfactorily pass alcohol and drug tests.

Responsibilities

• Transport freight between Southeastern’s Service Center or designated points.
• Operate a tractor-trailer (single or double) in urban, suburban, and rural areas and in all weather.
• Receive and verify dispatch instructions and verify load against documents.
• Verify hazardous material paperwork and proper placarding when applicable.
• Promote superior customer service and professionalism in all duties.
