Job summary

Southeastern Freight Lines in Atlanta, Georgia, is looking for a full-time Linehaul Driver. You will transport freight between our Service Center and other designated points, handling a tractor-trailer in diverse weather conditions.

The ideal candidate needs a valid CDL A with endorsements for Hazmat, Tanker, and Doubles/Triples. Additionally, you should have at least 6 months of driving experience and a high school diploma or GED. We offer competitive pay of $0.892 per mile.

Qualifications

Job Overview

As a Linehaul Driver, you will transport freight between Southeast's Service Center or designated points in-between. Operate a tractor‑trailer combination (single or double) in urban, suburban, and rural areas and in all types of weather conditions. Receive and verify dispatch instructions and verify load against shipping documents. When hauling hazardous material, verify the hazardous material product description, determine any discrepancies in the paperwork, and verify proper placarding. Perform all duties in a manner that promotes superior customer service and professionalism.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years old.
• Minimum of 6 months driving experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL A) with Hazmat, Tanker, and Doubles/Triples endorsements.
• Ability to satisfactorily pass background check, alcohol and drug test.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and write in English and perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Ability to handle receipts, read maps, road signs, and maintain a maintenance log.
• Ability to meet DOT regulations and guidelines pertaining to physical qualifications for commercial drivers.

Compensation & Schedule

Pay: $0.892 Per Mile.
